Over 30 years of experience in securities and custody: Colin Brooks joins Hex Trust
Colin Brooks, a University of Reading alumni with over 30 years experience and knowledge in the securities industry, especially with building institutional custody and securities businesses.
Among others, Mr. Brooks served as Head of Custody and Clearing at HSBC for seven years. During this time, he covered over 50 markets in six continents. For HSBC, Mr. Brooks developed HSBC’s custody business to become the biggest and leading sub-custodian in Asia. Due to his excellence in business, Mr. Brooks won the „Custodian Banker of the Year at the Asset Triple A Asset Servicing Awards in 2011.
After his time at HSBC, Mr. Brooks also functioned as Senior Advisor to the Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) for the securities business. Later, he also served as Vice Chairman – Securities Services. In these positions, Mr. Brooks re-shaped the leadership-team and drove key change initiatives in different areas to re-launch SCB’s securities business.
Now, Colin Brooks will be handling Custody and Securities at Hex Trust.
As the new addition joins Hex Trust, the Asian leader in enterprise-grade custody for digital assets hopes to bring its business to the next level. Mr. Brooks will help bringing services to institutional clients across Asia and Europe.
