Former Global Head of Ledger Vault joins Blockdaemon

5 Jan, 2021

Demetrios Skalkotos, who has been Global Head of the institutional crypto custody product of Ledger, Ledger Vault, joins Blockdaemon, a blockchain infrastructure platform for node management serving institutions and developers. He is still listed on the Ledger website as the Head of the Vault, so there is apparently nobody who has replaced him, yet.

This news comes only shortly after the massive data-breach ledger suffered in 2020 became even more public after the release of all the clients’ data in the darkweb. And the statement, that Ledger won’t compensate anybody affected by the breach, now probably facing a couple of lawsuits from angry customers.

Demetrios joined the Ledger team in 2018. As Global Head of Ledger Vault, he was responsible for leading Ledger sales at the highest level of a global enterprise. His responsibilities also included P&L and product management. Demetrios is based in New York and has over 15 years of experience in financial services.
